Amidst the assorted shades of technology, Aahvan’14 presents before you, “Omega” ensembling anything and everything from a tiny chip to a mammoth transformer. Arrange the provided resistors in a suitable formation to achieve the desired output. Spark your potential to come up with solution to problems which are an electrical engineer’s Achilles heels.

  1. All the components will be provided. Use of external component is strictly restricted.
  2. Participants involved in any kind of malpractice will be immediately disqualified.
  3. First round will be Eliminatory round.
  4. There will be tiebreaker questions in first round to decide the winner in case of ties.
  5. The parameters of judging in 2nd round will be time & accuracy.
  6. In case of disputes, the decision of event coordinator(s) will be final and binding to all. No arguments will be entertained.

NOTE:RULES ARE SUBJECT TO LAST MINUTE CHANGE. CONTACT CORRESPONDING COORDINATOR(S) FOR FURTHER INQUIRIES. FINAL DECISION LIES IN HANDS OF COORDINATORS AND JUDGES. PARTICIPANTS HAVE TO ABIDE THE DECISION IN ALL CASES.

  • Phase 1 : Component Identification (Rapid fire)
    Participants will be shown a slide containing images of basic circuit components for 20 seconds. They need to identify the component & write the application of the same if possible to earn some extra credit.
    Phase 2 : Participants will be provided number of resistors, they need to obtain the value of resistance from color code.


  • Description : Time to show how good you are at resistors. Participants will be given 2 problem sets, one on paper and other practical. Necessary information for practical set will be provided on spot.
