IN Guerra


In Guerra means in war and here you will find yourself literally in WAR.

The stage would be set at Aahvan-2014 for the huge ROBO WAR to get the atmosphere blazing. Each Robot would try its mantle in the arena but in the end only one would prove it to be ARES - The GOD of WAR.

  1. The participants are not allowed to enter in the arena at any point of time.
  2. The team destroying the opponents wiring circuitry intentionally or even by mistake during the time of war will be disqualified.
  3. The decision of the judges will be considered final and indisputable.
  4. The Judges has the right to change any of the rules at any time. Prior change of Rules shall be informed.
  5. If the machine remains immobile for some prior decided time then on the spot decision taken by the Judges shall hold.
  6. Once the machine is placed on the arena then the team mates will not be allowed to have direct contact with their own machine.
  7. Safe innovations are always encouraged but if that leads to any loophole in any of the above rules then they will be disqualified.

NOTE:Rules are subject to last minute change. Contact corresponding coordinator(s) for further inquiries. Final Decision lies in hands of Coordinators and Judges. Participants have to abide the decision in all cases.
  • 1. The machine will be checked thoroughly for its mechanism & dimensions by the judges according to specifications.
    2. In this the Judges may ask questions to the team members regarding the working/construction of bot.
    3. Teams would go through next round only after getting a clearance from the judges.

  • 1. Two random bots will compete in this round.
    2. The basic task of the machine would be to push/drag the opponent's machine in the pit/off the cliff which belongs to the opponent's arena.
    3. Weapons would not be allowed to use in this round.
    4. Hit points would be given on basis of physical hits made by the bot and the ground it gains.
    5. Final decision completely lies in the hands of the Judges.

  • Further Rounds and Rules shall be announced on the day of event. Use of weapons i.e. inbuilt mechanism to immobile the opponent would be allowed to come into play from Round 3.
  1. The machine may be fully wired or wireless.
  2. The machine must be capable to traverse on off-road dirt track such as ground, sand, grit, etc. with many obstacles.
  3. Maximum weight of the bot should not exceed 50 kg including batteries.
  4. The machine should get accommodated in a box of 45cm x 45cm x 45 cm.
  5. It should not use an energy source that involves combustion process and if the machine is wireless then it must work on dual frequency, in order to avoid interference with other component. Radio jamming is not allowed.
  6. Maximum voltage must not exceed 36V (at any point with respect to ground).
  7. Usage of damaged or non-leak proof batteries may lead to direct disqualification.
  8. The machine can use an externally placed, electric or non-electric power supply. Use of compressors is not allowed.
  9. The use of laser mechanisms, combustion process using fire or explosives, radio jamming, high voltage electric discharge, liquids like glue, water, corrosives, or any other chemicals etc for destruction mechanism is strictly prohibited.
  10. The machine cannot facilitate anything that transmits the force manually to the machine.(Hydraulics would not be allowed)
  11. Extension boards, adaptors, eliminators will have to be arranged by the participants.
  12. In case of wired mechanism, the wire must be slack at any point of time during the event.
  13. The total length of wire extending from the remote control to the machine must be minimum 10 meters.
  14. The participants have to ensure that the wire does not get entangled with the opponent's machine during the rounds and all the wires coming out of the machine should be stacked in a single unit and taken through a vertical PVC tubes mounted on the machine.
  15. Loose connections or improper wiring may lead to direct disqualification even before the event. The Core Committee will not be responsible for this inconvenience.
  16. The name of the machine can be displayed on the machine.

Weight Calculation:

  1. Total Weight= 1 x (Weight in arena) + 0.5 x (Weight outside arena)
  2. Total weight should not be more than 50 kg.
